Also known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean, its 2000 years plus old culture is well preserved in its ancient sites filled with mystery and stunning beaches with white sands. There are several forts and monuments, which stand as a testimony to the colonial past. These structures were used by the British, Dutch and Portuguese and are intact in different parts of the country. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Galle Fort Dambulla Cave Temple, Sigiriya are well kept. Sri Lanka also being a perfect destination for beach lovers is a treat for the ones who love diving or lazing around for the tan. The ‘Heritage, Culture and Beaches Sri Lanka’ Tour is going to take you Pottuvil, Kumana and Yala to enjoy Sri Lanka’s best National Parks. Not only will you explore a world heritage site but will also enjoy fun activities at the beach.


Trip will unfold as:

Day 1


Arrive at Colombo Airport. The Cloud Itineraries representative escorts you to the pre-booked hotel for staying overnight. You would have the rest of the day free to explore the city or just relax at the hotel.

Day 2

Colombo- Pottuvil (335 kms/7-8 hrs)

Drive to Pottuvil. Visit Lahugala Kitulana National Park, best known for elephants and Magul Maha Viharaya, an ancient Buddhist temple en-route. Enjoy the evening at the Pottuvil beach.

Day 3


Start your day with a visit to Dighavapi, a Buddhist sacred shrine. Later in the day proceed for an excursion to Kudumbigala Monastery and Okanda Devalaya, believed to be the location God Skanda first sailed into Sri Lanka in a golden boat.

Day 4

Pottuvil- Kumana- Yala (190 kms/4-5 hrs)

Drive to Kumana to explore the Kumana National Park, known for its avifauna. This area is part of an ancient civilization that goes back to the 3rd century BC. Later in the day continue your journey towards Yala for overnight stay.

Day 5

Yala- Kataragama (55 kms/2 hrs)

Explore Yala National Park bordering the Indian Ocean, which has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. Later drive to Kataragama, a sacred Buddhist town for overnight stay.

Day 6

Kataragama- Galle (170 kms/4 hrs)

Visit famous Kataragama temple, dedicated to Buddhist guardian deity Kataragama deviyo and Hindu War God Murugan. Later during the day drive to Galle to explore the Galle Fort (Dutch Fort), a fortification first built by the Portuguese on the Southwestern coast of Sri Lanka.

Day 7

Galle- Colombo (130 kms/2-3 hrs)

Drive to Colombo (2 hours) and visit National Museum. You have the rest of the day free to explore the city or just relax at the hotel.

Day 8


Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
